Who We Are

Katharine Maxwell, Co-leader and Children’s Leader

Katharine is a volunteer leader at Carpenters and heads up the children’s work. She has three teenage children and is married to Ian. Katharine works part time in the bookshop in Chorleywood and runs Energize, our midweek group for children aged 8-11.

Ian Maxwell, Co-leader with Katharine

Ian Maxwell is a management consultant, working for himself. Not having a regular job since 2000, Ian is fully reliant on God for all of his and his family's needs - and God has been good! Ian also leads worship and speaks occasionally. He also helps to lead the men's social group-MAS (Middle Age Spread) and sometimes helps with Energize Plus and the older youth activities.

Gill Batsman, Assistant

Gill is assistant to Ian and Katharine. She works part time supporting with administration, helping with the children's work as, and when necessary, organizing events such as the weekend away and catering for Church functions.

Becca Dean, Youth Worker

Becca has been our youth worker since September 2008. Her energy and enthusiasm has brought a fresh approach to all the various youth activities. She also fully engages with all the other activities taking place in Carpenters.

Both Becca and Gill are paid members of staff.
