Purpose, Vision and Values

Purpose: To love the Lord our God with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds and all our strength and to love all people as ourselves

Vision: To share God's love and bring his Hope to our communities

Our Values

1. To be a family in Christ - relationships

To encourage strong and significant relationships with each other that encourage and support us.

2. People being built up in Christ - lifestyle

To provide an environment, teaching and structure that enable people to grow in their Christian lives.

3. Building relationships outside/embracing the community - outreach

To actively encourage people to make and maintain relationships with those in the community and our personal contacts. To maintain contact with community groups.

4. Children fully integrated into the church - its present and future

To positively involve the children in our weekly worship and welcome them into our fellowship being tolerant of their childlike characters. To provide a well led and an active Kids Club, that encourages Christian growth in our children.

5. People being drawn to Christ

A commitment to do all we can to obey Christ’s command to make disciples. We recognise the importance of building significant relationships and being aware of people’s real needs.

6. True worship

To ensure our worship extends to our whole Christian experience. In our services to appreciate that the whole service is one of worship and that our worship in song must honour God, be accessible to all and use the best of all music traditions.

7. No limits

To recognise that God is sovereign and that we should not limit what he can do amongst us.. We also encourage membership of anyone from any geographical location.

8. God’s gifting by His Spirit

The gifting of individuals by the Holy Spirit and the appointing by the Holy Spirit of officers and ministers is fundamental to the fellowship’s proper functioning. Opportunity will be given for all members to exercise their Spiritual gifts for the building up of the fellowship.

9. Concern for the whole of humanity - expressed through our support of specific groups

To ensure that we actively support a range of Christian and secular groups who work all over the world to bring Christ’s compassion and mercy to the world.

10. Strength in organisation

The ensure we have the best organisation that ensures the vision and values of the fellowship are delivered.. To be the local church operating with sound Biblical principles
