Services
Sunday mornings
Carpenters Community
Church is a family orientated and community based
church that meets at The Russell School, Chorleywood on Sundays at
10:30am. On the first Sunday of the month our service is aimed at all ages.
On the 3rd Sunday of the month we have our Small Group Sunday.
We meet in peoples homes instead of the school, and have lunch together in small groups.
Please see our Small Groups section for full details.
We have an informal Church of England
style service typically lasting about an hour and fifteen minutes,
followed by tea and coffee, hot chocolate, and occasionally, homemade cakes. The
service is relaxed and often with plenty of humour. It is designed to be
welcoming for people who are not “traditional” church goers.
Our children and young people normally go
to their respective groups after the first twenty minutes of the service.

On the first Sunday of every month we meet
for a fun-packed, accessible and thought provoking “All Age
Service” when we encourage our members of all ages from children to the
elderly to take part. This service is always based around a theme such as
fair trade. Recently we have looked at the CS Lewis story “The Magician’s
Nephew” and decorated the room Narnia-style. On another week we watched films that one of our youth groups had made telling modern parables.
