Missionary LinksMark & Gabi
Mark and Gabi are working with children and young people in a city in Eastern Europe. They are involved in the running of a Christian kindergarten, and have started three clubs for the neighbourhood kids. They have literally worked with hundreds of children over the years. Most of the children live in blocks of flats which date back to the communist era. Living conditions are often difficult, with many of the parents trying to bring up their children on very low incomes, and increasingly they are seeing children left behind with relatives, whilst their parents work abroad. Into this context, Mark and Gabi are bringing the love and good news of Jesus. Mark’s English lessons at the kindergarten are always popular and fun, and the clubs they are running are mostly very well attended. A fun mix of games, competitions, an opportunity to find out more about God who loves them, and English taught through more games and competitions, ensures that the children continue to come with enthusiasm. Mark and Gabi are also increasingly involved in the running of their local church, with Mark serving as one of the leaders.
