Community Centre

We are currently planning to open a Community Centre in vacant retail/office premises in the centre of Chorleywood.

Following wide consulation with local residents, we have an initial set of services we propose to launch with, including services for babies and children, parents, the elderly and youth. We also intend to open the space for others-individuals and organisations-to use and so want to make the premises as flexible as possible to meet current and future needs.

To run such a venture will require significant funding, even with a large supply of volunteers and so access to grant aid will be essential. We have been researching suitable sites and are waiting for premises to become available in the centre of Chorleywood.

This is an initiative of Carpenters Community Church that seeks to serve the community in which we live. It will have full charitable status (application pending) and is completely independent of any government body. We will therefore be totally reliant upon grants and charitable donations supplemented by a small amount of income from trading activities.
